Our core infrastructure consists of Dell hardware, Equallogic storage and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition x64 running Hypervisor. We offer both Virtual Dedicated Servers (VDS) and one and two processor Dell PowerEdge servers starting with the Dell PowerEdge 1950 and going up the Dell server product line. We emphasize choice, and the choice is ultimately each customers to make.
The advantages of our VDS platform are its features around full server snap shots, server independence of a single piece of hardware, and platform designed for maximum availability. For example, being able to move between server snapshot versions can significantly improve development testing, QA processes, and the process of applying Microsoft OS and application patches. It is also easy for us to allow your developer to work on a independent copy of your entire environment for a period of time to test a new feature, custom web part or other code without impacting your production environment. The larger the environment the more important this type of feature becomes. Larger customers desire the ability to test without owning a dedicated test environment, and by using our on-demand resources you can save time, money and headaches.
What are the performance and feature between our VDS offerings and our one and two processor servers?
